Recently, I have been hearing new patients say that they are scared of fillers.

This post is just to demonstrate that when filler is used properly, it can result in dramatic rejuvenation of the face. It is one of the core tools we have in our antiaging armamentarium.

This patient had 4 mL of filler. I treated the temples, cheeks, lower face and jawline and a tiny amount in her lips.

The after photo was taken 5 minutes after we completed the treatment. Note that she is not swollen, she is not bruised, she is not puffy and she just looks like a more refreshed and reenergized version of herself.

When done properly, filler is one of the best tools we have. And when something goes wrong, which is rare, it is usually because of technique – the wrong filler is used, too much filler is used, or the filler is injected incorrectly.
