Saturday at the Men’s Health Resident & Fellows Surgical Skills Workshop was all about ex*****on — morning didactics sharpening judgment, followed by cadaver labs where technique met tissue.

Penoscrotal. Infrapubic. Reservoir strategies. Troubleshooting. Multidisciplinary approaches from surgeons who don’t just place implants — they refine them.

Because prosthetic surgery isn’t about memorizing steps.
It’s about understanding anatomy, biomechanics, and decision-making under pressure.

Friday night before the lab — when the learning actually starts.

We welcomed residents and fellows from across the U.S., along with visiting colleagues from Mexico, for an evening of mentorship, honest conversations about careers, and what life in prosthetic urology really looks like outside the textbook. Private practice, teamwork, postoperative care, and the future of implants — all discussed over dinner with our faculty, APPs, and partners at Coloplast.

Because great surgeons aren’t made in a lecture… they’re built in rooms like this.
