Healthy 'Cane Network

Healthy 'Cane Network The Healthy Cane Network supports student’s overall well-being and provides a supportive environment that allows students to exceed their potential.

WHO WE ARE:
The Healthy 'Cane Network is a collaborative effort within the Division of Student Affairs, that pulls on resources from the departments of Residential Life, Dean of Students, Wellness Center, Counselling Center and Student Health Service. The Healthy Cane network works with the understanding that Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the a

bsence of disease or infirmity. As such it is the goal of the Healthy Cane Network to support students overall wellbeing, and to provide an environment on campus that allows students not only to reach, but to exceed their potential. This is accomplished by expanding protective factors and strengths and reducing personal, campus and community health risk factors. WHAT WE DO:
The U Health Video Contest is a campaign that utilizes viral and social media marketing techniques to promote health and wellness on the University of Miami campus. The Healthy 'Cane Network uses these techniques to provide students with greater access to valuable information, resources, services, and tools that influence health. This helps to reduce risky behaviors, improve knowledge of services and promotes students living healthy and successful lives.
