We are thrilled to announce that Kathleen Warman, Psy.D. has joined The Psychology Team of South Florida as a Postdoctoral Fellow! Dr. Warman is a bilingual therapist with extensive experience working with children, teens, young adults, and families. In addition to treating a variety of behavioral and emotional difficulties both individually and in group therapy, Dr. Warman has specialized training working with the Latinx/Hispanic Population and the LGBTQIA+ population.

Born and raised in Miami, Dr. Warman attended the University of Florida, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with dual majors in Psychology and Spanish. She then earned a Master's of Education and Master's of Arts in Counseling Psychology at Teacher's College, Columbia University before completing her Doctorate of Psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

We are excited to welcome Michelle Brenes, Psy.D. to The Psychology Team of South Florida!
Dr. Brenes is a licensed psychologist who works with children, teens, young adults, and families. She also has specialized training in pediatric health psychology, including pain management, adjustment to diagnosis, and bereavement. In addition to providing therapy, Dr. Brenes will be conducting psychoeducational, psychological, and gifted testing. Additionally, Dr. Brenes will also be conducting evaluations to help identify and treat autism-related diagnoses.

We loved teaming up with some of our South Florida colleagues today at Health Information Project’s 2018 health fair. As part of HIP’s medical advisory board, we got to connect with 1,600 peer educators from Miami-Dade high schools to provide support and promote information related to mental health.

Cancer has affected people we know both personally and professionally. This past weekend, we joined Cycle for Survival to raise money for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center to cure rare cancers.
