2nd part:
Well I won’t get into specifics but wow oh wow! I felt like an amateur in her hands. I once heard the term “successful imposter” and that is exactly how I felt.
In this photo I am standing beside Thiara the amazing practitioner with blessed hands.
I did end up telling her I am an esthetician with over 30 years of experience and a facial spa owner but that in all of my years I’ve never felt what I felt at her hands.
I am puffy in the photo not because she made me puffy from the treatment but because of the tears and sobs I let out at the end of the treatment. It was the most beautiful and emotional experience I’ve ever felt. It draws up and out energy and feelings that are stored in your heart for years. It was very liberating and I felt lighter and more balanced. By the evening my skin was radiant and smooth. Emotionally.. I have not been the same.
I didn’t know how but I knew I wanted to learn this healing technique. So … she agreed to teach me. I have been studying and practicing with her for a month now. I am far from done but excited to one day share this amazing facial massage with you one day.
This experience was a true testament to my core belief that to be better one must never think they are the best. You never know who will be your teacher unless you are open to learning. Be a perpetual student.
