Inflamed Cyst Removal: What You Should Know 🧴🩺

An inflamed epidermal inclusion cyst is a pocket beneath the skin that can fill with keratin and become swollen, red, and painful.

🔹 Why it happens: Dead skin cells or oil become trapped under the surface.
🔹 Treatment: Once the area is numbed, a dermatologist carefully removes the cyst sac to relieve discomfort and help prevent recurrence.
🔹 After-care: Keep the site clean, follow post-procedure instructions, and monitor for signs of infection.
