Dear Friends,
I’m reaching out to share a deeply personal story and an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those affected by diabetes.

As some of you may know, my daughter Jaimie has been bravely battling type 1 diabetes for most of her life. Now, at the age of 34, she faces an even greater challenge as she awaits both a kidney and pancreas transplant. This journey has been incredibly difficult for Jaimie, but her strength and determination continue to inspire us every day.

To support Jaimie and countless others facing similar struggles, her sister, Bekah Jayne, will be performing a special benefit concert for the Diabetes Research Institute. The event will take place on Thursday, September 26, at The Funky Biscuit in Boca Raton, Florida. One of the must respected venues in South Florida.

Bekah Jayne has recently graduated from Belmont University with a B.S. degree in songwriting. Her talent has been widely recognized—she won the R&B Showcase as the top singer in the Belmont University School of Music in 2024, and she recently released her EP, *Bekah Jayne Vol. 1*. Additionally, she has been selected for the esteemed Sony/ATV “ All Access” Program and honored as a National Young Arts Winner in 2020.

This concert is not just a celebration of Bekah’s musical achievements; it’s a powerful way to bring awareness and support to the ongoing fight against diabetes. We would be incredibly grateful if you could join us for an evening of music and community, and help us raise funds for the critical research needed to find a cure. Because of the magnitude of this event, Bekah has decided to fly down her extremely talented band for this event!
