Did you know that the AAP encourages shared reading beginning in infancy and continuing at least through kindergarten, including in the neonatal ICU, when possible. This helps create a nurturing, language-rich environment and a love for reading ! We love to see our patients reading and showing us what they are reading at their checkup!!

Halloween Candy Tips
👻 give your kids a light meal or snack before trick or treating, so they don’t want to snack on candy. 🎃 Wait until they get home to eat it so you can inspect it, throw out anything that isn’t commercially wrapped .Though tampering is rare,search for any evidence of tampering (tears in wrappers,pinholes,discoloration) 👻 If you have young children be careful of choking hazards (gum,peanuts,hard candy, small toys) 🎃 If your child has allergies check label before he or she eats. 👻 Ration the amount of candy you allow over the next coming weeks to avoid tummyaches and sugar highs
