This weekend’s Walk for Apraxia had the best turnout we’ve ever had! It meant so much to see families, kids, students, therapists and supporters all come together for an important cause. So far, the South Florida Walk has raised $6,494 🌟 Every dollar reflects the strength and support of our community. We’re so grateful for everyone who showed up and to those who donated. All monies raised support research, community programs and education for 🩵🩷🧡

We loved spending time with our wonderful partners at Mary Help of Christians preschool providing speech and language screenings for their students. Our bilingual speech-language pathologist Daniela ensured that children who speak Spanish and English had the opportunity to be screened and supported in both languages. We’re so grateful for our preschool partners who value early identification and quality early childhood education, as it makes such a difference in helping children build strong communication skills and confidence from the start. Thank you, Mary Help! 🩷

Thank you Coconut Creek Talk for this wonderful article about the upcoming South Florida Walk for Apraxia with Apraxia Kids. 🩵

“More than anything, we want the kids to have fun and feel celebrated,” Novick said. “Children with apraxia work incredibly hard every day to find their voices, and this day is just for them. There will be games, activities, and each “Apraxia Star” will receive a medal and certificate to honor their achievements.”

“Many families share how hard it can be to find a speech-language pathologist who truly understands and specializes in apraxia, so seeing future SLPs eager to learn about CAS gives us so much hope,” Novick said. “Our goal is to inspire the next generation of professionals to develop a passion for motor-based speech therapy and help shift some of the misconceptions that still exist around diagnosis and treatment.”

The biggest goals for this year’s South Florida Walk for Apraxia at Coconut Creek’s Tradewinds Park on Nov. 15 are to raise awareness about childhood apraxia of speech and to build a true sense of community.

We had a wonderful time providing a staff training on speech and language development to the incredible educators at First Church Preschool in Coral Springs. The team is always so engaged, thoughtful, and eager to learn new ways to support their students and families. ✨

We love every opportunity to educate and collaborate within our local community and we’re so grateful for our longstanding partnership with this amazing school! 📚👧🏽🧒🏻💕

We love our community preschool partners and the wonderful work they do! Seton Ridge Children's Center is a space children can explore, create and be themselves at every stage. Through hands-on experiences, they value multi-sensory learning and imaginative play to help children develop curiosity and a love of learning at an early age. 🩵

Bridge Therapy 🩵’s ScentsAbility & the IDDeal Foundation! The Bridge team had a wonderful time making our very own candles while learning about the incredible work of these organizations 🕯️

ScentsAbility Candles provides workplace opportunities adapted for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by creating beautiful artisan scented candles. The IDDeal Place, currently under construction, is a brand new, innovative community where adults with disabilities can enjoy the quality of life they deserve.

We are so grateful for the work they are doing in our community to make living, working and playing accessible to all 🫶🏽
