We are so proud of Maggie for completing the Apraxia Boot Camp in Pittsburgh! 🎉 🤩

Apraxia Boot Camp is a unique advanced intensive training from for speech-language pathologists with a special interest in Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS). Instructors provide the latest information about current and emerging research and evidence-based tools and approaches for assessment and treatment. Boot camp fosters a community of likeminded professionals and is created and led by the field’s top researchers & clinicians. For those passionate about treating apraxia, it is an amazing professional accomplishment! 📝

Maggie returned with lots of new knowledge, approaches and strategies! She learned about the latest research, the newest therapeutic and evaluation techniques and invaluable insights about best practices to make the most impact. Now, she is onto her case study. 📚

Our kids with apraxia deserve the best and we will continue learning all that we can for them. Congratulations, Maggie! 🩷🌟

Choosing a therapy approach, program, intervention or product can be overwhelming—for both families and professionals. With so many appealing options, it can be hard to know what truly helps and what is just strategically marketed. 🧐

Effective approaches are grounded in the 3 pillars of evidence-based practice:

With so many new approaches and to help sort through it all, we found this prompt in ChatGPT or Google to be really useful…

We had a wonderful time at our pilot of Play & Say in our Jacksonville office! Play and Say is a fun, interactive class to support early speech and language development through songs, movement, play-based learning, and caregiver education. It was so special watching families connect, communicate, and learn together. We’re excited to continue offering this group Monday mornings as a way to empower caregivers and help little ones build strong communication foundations from the start. 🫧🩵

We had a wonderful time presenting about speech development for the Down Syndrome Association of Jacksonville! DSAJ is doing amazing work supporting families, providing resources and offering meaningful opportunities for the community 💙💛

Happy Friday from Mr. Chef! 👨‍🍳🎉☀️

We love using puppets in speech therapy—especially this guy, who’s been with us for over 10 years! 🥹 Mr. Chef helps us feel comfortable, get silly, and stay engaged while practicing important communication skills. Research shows that puppets increase engagement, support language development and encourage participation. Here’s to more progress and plenty of laughs with our puppet friends! 🩷
