Special Education Teacher – Full Time
Location: Lion Star Academy (In-Person), Coral Springs FL

We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Developmental Delays in a small, supportive classroom setting.
Key Responsibilities
Create a warm, safe, and inclusive classroom that recognizes each student’s unique abilities and needs.
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, administrators, therapists, and other professionals.
Adapt instruction using specialized programs such as ABLES, STAR, or BASICS to meet varying learning levels.
Integrate occupational therapy, physical therapy, and sensory-based learning into classroom activities.
Use evidence-based strategies including phonetics, multi-sensory learning, repetition, and applied behavior analysis to support student growth.
Foster social, emotional, and interpersonal skills through group activities and positive behavior reinforcement.
Maintain open, professional communication with families and team members.
Ensure the classroom is organized, clean, and conducive to learning.
Participate in training, staff meetings, and school events as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or related field.
Experience working with students on the autism spectrum preferred.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Current CPR certification (or willingness to complete training).
Must pass a background check and fingerprinting.
