As a clinician, I feel very lucky to share this space with my clients. Oftentimes OCD and EDs rules can take away the enjoyment of the foods we once loved. Eating can become stressful and frustrating when one is trying to appease OCD and/or the ED. It can feel so scary to go against these rules, make a mistake, eat the wrong thing or eat the wrong amount. But recovery is about finding flexibility and freedom. Recovery is about building a peaceful relationship with food. Here is how ERP can help our clients in this process.
