📕Back to school always brings out some of the best memories!
📗Today, for National Literacy Day, we got to write letters to wonderful local kiddos in Iowa City! Some of them are headed to school for the first time!
📘We are happy to start this special PenPal program to follow them through their first year of learning!
📙We also thought we’d share some fond memories from our own days at school! …WITH YOU!

📝Some beautiful memories were shared in our walls today! Not a minute went by without hearing chatter about our rich, and sometimes mischievous, histories! 🤗

Today, we kick off Assisted Living Week by celebrating Grandparents Day and the amazing people in our lives and in our hearts that we call Grammy, Gramps, Gigi, Nana, Papa, Mimi, Grandma & Grandpa… we wouldn’t be here without these treasured people!

Brown Deer Place took on donations from staff, residents, family, friends and healthcare partners to give back to a place that is near and dear to all of our hearts as Iowa pet lovers!
Iowa City Animal Care & Adoption Center is a beacon of hope, a clean, friendly and professional center for taking care of our furry friends that are in between homes at the moment!
❤️ Thank you to all that participated and donated to our drive! We are proud to represent and support this cause that truly makes a difference in the lives of animals and the dedicated staff that work tirelessly to care for them!
