Lantern Park Specialty Care is a skilled nursing and long-term care community providing compassionate, individualized care for our residents, while also caring for their family's well-being and peace of mind. To start off the Thanksgiving week residents worked together to preform a readers theater skit titled Table Full of Thanks & Traditions. This skit highlighted how many families have different holiday traditions and the fun that comes with gathering with friends. Lantern Park Specialty Care wants to wish everyone a belated happy Veterans Day!

Our veteran residents gathered in the morning to enjoy a delicious breakfast and ceremony. The American Legion brought their color guard, and all veterans were presented with a flag, medallion, certificate and pin.

We are so thankful to be able to care for those who sacrificed so much and served our country!

Welcome to Lantern Park Specialty Care

Lantern Park Specialty Care as been a pillar of long term care in Johnson County since 1970. We have provided quality nursing home care with the addition of skilled nursing care in 2000. This means we can provide for the short term, intensive therapy that allow many patients to return to their own homes.

Continuity of care is important for our residents and families. We are fortunate to have such a professional team - our department heads have over 100 years experience collaboratively. It is comforting to build relationships over time that can help ease your apprehension about the whole process.

We are most fortunate to have a new building! It is modern and efficient but also warm and inviting. It is light and airy in the halls, dining room, resident rooms and all over. It is also quieter with our wireless call light system and wall-to-wall carpeting. We invite you out so we may show you just how special our new facility is. We have lots of private rooms, also.
