🌟 Exciting news from Lantern Park Specialty Care! We’re in the process of putting together a cookbook and would love to feature recipes from the families of our residents. If you have cherished recipes passed down through generations, please share them with us! We’d also appreciate a brief history or story behind each recipe—perhaps it was a favorite for special occasions or has evolved over time.

You can send your recipes via email to our Activity Coordinator, Cameron, at ccox@careinitiatives.org. Alternatively, feel free to mail them to 2200 Oakdale Rd. Coralville IA, 52241, or drop them off in person. We can’t wait to compile a cookbook filled with our residents' favorite dishes! 🍽️❤️

✨ Team Member Spotlight ✨ Meet Abbey! 🌟

Abbey recently joined our team at Lantern Park Specialty Care as our Director of Nursing! Abbey has worked in long term care since she was 16 when she started in the dietary department. Abbey has worked as a CNA, LPN, MDS Coordinator, and RN. Abbey has also worked in home health and assisted living.

When she's not at work, Abbey enjoys coloring, doing puzzles, reading, camping and watching her daughter play sports and perform in marching band. Abbey also volunteers at a dog shelter and teaches faith formation at her church. Abbey is excited to get to know the residents, their families, and fellow team members. She looks forward to building a strong team to be able to provide the best care in our community!

Welcome to Lantern Park Specialty Care

Lantern Park Specialty Care as been a pillar of long term care in Johnson County since 1970. We have provided quality nursing home care with the addition of skilled nursing care in 2000. This means we can provide for the short term, intensive therapy that allow many patients to return to their own homes.

Continuity of care is important for our residents and families. We are fortunate to have such a professional team - our department heads have over 100 years experience collaboratively. It is comforting to build relationships over time that can help ease your apprehension about the whole process.

We are most fortunate to have a new building! It is modern and efficient but also warm and inviting. It is light and airy in the halls, dining room, resident rooms and all over. It is also quieter with our wireless call light system and wall-to-wall carpeting. We invite you out so we may show you just how special our new facility is. We have lots of private rooms, also.
