Meet Jenna!
Jenna is a personal trainer at Performance Health and Fitness. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Iowa. During her time at Iowa, she completed strength and conditioning internships where she gained hands-on experience helping individuals of all ages. Jenna’s love for fitness began in high school, where she participated in volleyball, track and field, and cross country.

Whether someone is brand new to the gym or looking to take their training to the next level, Jenna strives to create an environment that feels encouraging and fun. She is passionate about helping people move their bodies in ways that make them feel strong, capable, and confident.

Outside of the gym, Jenna enjoys weightlifting, playing sand volleyball and tennis, going line dancing, and hanging out with friends and family. She also loves trying new coffee shops- her go-to order is almost always an iced vanilla latte.

Meet Alex💪💚
Personal Trainer, Strength & Conditioning Coach, and Nutrition Coach at Performance Health & Fitness.

With certifications including NASM-CPT, NASM-CNC, NSCA Strength & Conditioning, and Precision Nutrition Level 1, Alex brings both science and energy to every session. He earned his Bachelor’s in Kinesiology from the University of Iowa and his Master’s in Exercise Science from the University of Kansas.

Alex has coached athletes at WACO High School, Fairfield High School, and currently works with athletes at MidPrairie High School. After five years of running his own online training business, he was excited to join Performance to reconnect with clients face-to-face and bring his high-energy, personalized approach to the gym floor.

With a B.A. in Movement and Exercise Science from the University of Northern Iowa, Leslie brings both education and heart to every session. She was part of the Performance family from 2012–2020 and returned in 2023, and as a mom of two, this place holds a truly special spot in her life.

For Leslie, training is about so much more than changing how someone looks. In a world that often ties worth to appearance, she believes movement should be about empowerment, self-compassion, and discovering what your body can do, not just how it looks.

Meet Monte 💪💚
Personal Trainer at Performance Health & Fitness with a passion for helping people get stronger, move better, and improve their quality of life.

Monte holds a B.S. in Therapeutic Recreation and brings an impressive list of certifications to the floor, including NASM-Certified Personal Trainer, StrongFirst Level 1 Kettlebell Instructor, StrongFirst Certified Barbell Instructor, NASM Senior Fitness Specialist, and Functional Movement Specialist (Levels 1 & 2).

From playing rugby at the University of Iowa 🏉 to running marathons and half-marathons, strength training, and practicing yoga, fitness has always been a central part of Monte’s life. But his true calling? Helping others discover their strength.

Monte specializes in working with middle-aged adults who want to make strength training a key part of their long-term health and wellness. He focuses on smart, functional programming that builds strength, improves mobility, and supports everyday life.
