The Canton family generously donated to our department. They said their mother, Jean, loved our activities! We decided to have a luncheon with the residents for Activity Professional week. Residents’ choice was chicken, potato salad, macaroni salad, baked beans, and cookies.
We all decided to decorate the dining room as a Luau theme in the midst of a snow storm — we like to think we are somewhere warm on a tropical beach! Thank you again, Canton family! We honored Jean by singing That’s Amore

We supersized our prize cart, enjoyed the Pittsburgh tradition of the New Year’s pretzel for good luck, sipped on Shirley Temples, shared lots of laughter, and ended the afternoon with a countdown.
