Manchester friends🤍

Listening to my child proclaim they’re starving while there’s a pantry full of food, is maddening (if you have kids you fully understand). Last night watching my son eat it really hit me. There will be children, friends of my son and daughter, who starting Saturday will start to see the pantries they run to go empty, and there is literally NOTHING they can do about it.

Regardless of politics, regardless of ideas, regardless of belief systems, there is absolutrly no reason a child should ever suffer at the hands of adults making poor decisions, or making none at all. It is unacceptable and a stain on everyone who can make a difference and choose not to. Especially those we have elected to represent our kids.

That being said, I refuse to be idle while my kids friends might go hungry. Starting this Saturday, November 1st, when the cut off begins, kids under 12 will eat free until this is resolved.

You do not need to present a SNAP card for verification, I dont want anyone to be embarrassed or feel less than. I only ask for honesty, and to only use this offer if it is truly needed. However there are some rules:

- No on-line orders allowed
- No call-in orders allowed
- Your child/children must be present in store

The child can choose between these 3 options (no substitutions allowed):

Kids Ham, small drink, and cookie
Kids Turkey, small drink, and cookie
Kids Pizza Sub, small drink, and cookie

If you are afraid of your children being affected by this, know that you are loved and we will not let your child go hungry.

A beautiful story🤍

Congratulations, Miss Kentucky! Thank you for sharing your foster story!

With tears in my eyes and love in my heart, I am honored and grateful to say that I am the first former foster child in history to ever place in the Top 11 at Miss America.

Just three years ago, I was a homeless teenager carrying my life in a trash bag and wondering if my dreams would ever matter. Standing on the Miss America stage reminded me, and I hope reminds every young person, that your past does not define your future.

This moment is for every child in foster care, every young person who has felt unseen, and every dreamer who has been told no. You are worthy, you are capable, and you are proof that hope is stronger than hardship.

Congratulations to our new Miss America, Cassie. I am so excited to watch your year unfold with grace and strength. To the incredible women I shared this journey with, thank you for showing me that the greatest crown is found in friendship, sisterhood, and shared purpose.

I may not have won the title of Miss America, but I walk away with something even greater: a story that proves broken beginnings can grow into beautiful futures, and that every dream is worth chasing. Kentucky, I am forever proud to be yours!! ❤️
