Our residents had a wonderful time making and eating their own personal pan pizzas 🍕 today! They loved choosing their toppings and enjoying something made just their way. It was a fun, tasty activity that brought lots of smiles and happy moments all around. 💛

⚠️ Winter Weather Preparedness ⚠️
Current forecast modeling indicates the potential for significant winter weather across Laurel County. Now is the time to prepare and take steps to protect yourself, your family, and your neighbors.
🚙Residents should plan ahead by limiting unnecessary travel and preparing for hazardous road conditions, including snow, sleet, and ice. If travel becomes necessary, slow down, increase following distances, and keep an emergency kit in your vehicle that includes blankets, food, water, and a flashlight.
⚠️Power outages are possible during winter storms. Make sure phones and essential devices are fully charged, have flashlights and extra batteries available, and know how to safely use alternative heating sources. Never use generators, grills, or fuel-burning devices indoors.
🏠Prepare your home by checking heating systems, protecting exposed pipes, and ensuring you have enough food, medications, and water to last several days if conditions worsen. Keep pets indoors and ensure livestock have adequate shelter, food, and water.
🗣️Please take time to check on neighbors, especially older adults, individuals with medical needs, and those who may have limited mobility. Community awareness and neighbor-to-neighbor assistance can make a significant difference during severe weather.
👂Stay informed by monitoring trusted weather sources and official local updates. Conditions can change rapidly, and timely information helps everyone make safer decisions.
Plan ahead, stay safe, and take winter weather seriously. Laurel County emergency responders are prepared and ready to respond, and we appreciate everyone doing their part to reduce risk and keep our community safe.

UPDATE: This shows zones and the chances for 12” of snow. EVERYONE WILL SEE SNOW. But only some will get a foot or more. Closer to Tennessee, the lower the chance of getting a foot.
Getting closer to adding numbers to an actual map. Let's get through the daytime model runs, and we will add some this evening/tonight. Yes, 12" of snowfall is possible, and this map shows you, in simple terms, who has the best chance.
So, yes... I think a foot of snowfall is possible in parts of Kentucky.
Don't forget that icy mess that could hit those southern counties.
All of these numbers will be added to a map later!
Love y'all and good luck.

Hillcrest Remodeling Update
We continue to work on remodeling, from the ceiling to the floors. We are currently working on updating resident rooms, with new ceilings and lighting, paint, new overbed lights, updated electrical, new bathroom doors, and fresh paint colors.
Our residents are enjoying our updated dining room, where the walls have come down, as well as our new hallway colors.
We are excited to see all the changes taking place, and hope you are too!
