❄UPDATED CALL FOR SNOWFALL❄ Here's a look at the updated call for a light snowfall Friday and Friday night. Eastern and northeastern Kentucky have the best chance of picking up on a few inches of snow out of this whole setup.

Thursday, Feb. 5, For the safety of our staff and patients, we will not be open today. Main roads may be clear but our back roads are slick. Everyone please stay safe if you have to get out.

This decision was made after I had trouble getting to the office today. We have people that travel a good distance to come see us. Your safety is very important. When I get told someone slid off the road trying to make an appointment, my heart drops. We will get to everyone. Most importantly is that you stay safe and warm.

Due to worsening conditions overnight, including the potential for icy roads that may not improve until this afternoon, Knox County Schools will be closed out of an abundance of caution on Thursday, February 5, 2026. Central Office, principals, maintenance, and custodial staff will report on a two-hour delay.

POTHOLE WARNING! 😂😂😂

I have issued a Pothole Advisory for all of Tennessee and Kentucky, and a Pothole Warning for Nashville!

This is because we are seeing the perfect storm for creating potholes. We had weeks with below-freezing temperatures that froze all the water under the roads. Now we are well above freezing temperatures and are seeing rain. This will cause the frost to thaw, leaving a hole under the road.

I actually saw a few potholes forming on I-40 on my way into work today…
