🎉 Celebrating a Dream Achieved! 🎉

Crisp Regional Hospital is proud to celebrate Kanisha Hobgood, RN, BSN, on her acceptance to medical school at PCOM South Georgia this summer! Kanisha currently serves our community with excellence in our Oncology Department, and we couldn’t be more excited to see her take this next step toward becoming a physician.

We’re also grateful for her husband, Jonathan Hobgood, who serves faithfully as Chaplain for our Hospice and Palliative Care services. At Crisp Regional, we celebrate milestones and the pursuit of dreams—because we consider each other family.

We’re honored to share that Crisp Regional Hospital has been recognized with three prestigious statewide awards for excellence in patient safety, quality, and service to others. 💙

The Georgia Hospital Association presented Crisp Regional with First Place in the Josh Nahum Award for Infection Prevention & Control for our project, “Right Test, Right Time: Strengthening Infection Control Through Stewardship.” This initiative improved patient care by reducing unnecessary urine testing and limiting unneeded antibiotic use—helping prevent side effects and antibiotic resistance.

Crisp Regional was also honored with the Circle of Excellence Award, recognizing hospitals that demonstrate a sustained commitment to quality and patient safety through multiple GHA Patient Safety and Quality Awards over the past five years.

In addition, Crisp Regional received the 2025 Barbara and John Ware Donate Life Award, recognizing our outstanding commitment to organ and tissue donation in partnership with Donate Life Georgia. This award reflects our dedication to honoring the gift of life and supporting patients and families through compassionate care.

These recognitions are a testament to the extraordinary work of our staff, nurses, and physicians—and to our ongoing commitment to providing safe, high-quality care for the communities we serve.

❄️ A Gift for the Hottest Days—Delivered on the Coldest One ❄️

On one of the coldest days of the year, Crisp Regional Hospital was grateful to receive a gift designed to save lives on the hottest days of the year.

Thanks to the Georgia Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) Program, Polar Life Pods (PLPs) have been donated for Crisp County High School and Crisp Academy. The Polar Life Pod is a cold-water immersion system that allows for rapid, on-site cooling in the event of a heat-related emergency. Collapsible, compact, and portable, it can be set up quickly when seconds matter most.

These pods will be available to protect our young athletes should excessive heat become an issue during practices or games. While our coaching & training staffs remain committed to following all heat-safety guidelines, this added resource provides an extra layer of security and peace of mind.

A familiar and trusted presence in our community, Mrs. Hamilton’s decision to entrust her care to our new practice is deeply meaningful to us as we begin serving patients in this specialty.
