📦 Supporting Our Community, Together

Today, Robert Caldwell, our Food Services Director, and Tim Powers, our Community Relations Director, had the privilege of delivering a portion of the canned and boxed food items generously donated by Crisp Regional staff and volunteers to the Soul Food Pantry at Cordele First Church.

Beginning Thursday at 9:00 a.m., the pantry will distribute these items to community members in need — ensuring that local families have access to essential food during a critical time.

Pictured with Robert and Tim are two of the pantry’s faithful volunteers, Sam Dawkins and Dale Steinert, whose dedication makes this work possible.

We are grateful for the generosity of our employees and for partners like the Soul Food Pantry who help extend care beyond our walls and into the community we proudly serve. 💙

✨ A Historic Day at Crisp Regional Hospital! ✨

On November 13, 2025, we proudly celebrated the Grand Opening of our brand-new 14,000-square-foot Surgery Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony! This state-of-the-art facility marks a major milestone in our ongoing commitment to provide world-class care right here at home.

We are deeply grateful to the community members, partners, providers, and employees who joined us for this special occasion. Your support and presence made the day even more meaningful.

A heartfelt thank you goes to our Georgia HEART donors, whose faithful generosity has helped make this vision a reality. Your support continues to strengthen Crisp Regional and helps us remain one of the most advanced healthcare facilities in Georgia.

Together, we’re building a healthier future for our community. 💙

🌟 Celebrating Excellence at the Crisp Community Council Annual Awards Dinner 🌟

Last night, two outstanding members of the Crisp Regional Hospital family were honored with Crisp Care Awards at the Crisp Community Council’s Annual Awards Dinner.

🏆 Marilyn Calhoun, RN – Nurse Navigator, was recognized for her extraordinary work in patient advocacy and education related to Medicare, Medicaid, and non-traditional funding sources for care. She consistently goes far beyond the scope of her role to help patients and families understand the complexities of our healthcare system. Her efforts have not only benefited our local community—they are making an impact across the state for individuals who need clear, compassionate guidance navigating the insurance landscape. We are deeply grateful for her dedication.

🏆 Tim Powers – Community Relations & Foundation Director, was recognized for his leadership and service in community economic development initiatives, early childhood literacy advocacy, and faith-driven missions. His passion for strengthening our community and improving lives is evident in everything he does, both inside and outside the hospital. We are proud to see his work celebrated at the community level.

Happy National Nurse Practitioner Week to Our Incredible NP Team! 💙

At Crisp Regional, our Nurse Practitioners are an essential part of the care we provide every day. They are scattered across our clinics, departments, and community—caring for patients from early morning to late evening—which is why getting them all together for a group picture is nearly impossible. Their absence from a photo is a testament to their constant presence where it matters most: at the bedside, in the exam room, and out in our community providing exceptional care.

What is a Nurse Practitioner?
Nurse Practitioners (NPs) are highly trained, advanced practice registered nurses who have completed graduate-level education and clinical training. They diagnose and treat illnesses, perform exams, order and interpret tests, prescribe medications, and focus on both preventive and long-term care. NPs bring a unique blend of clinical expertise and a compassionate, patient-centered approach that helps individuals and families live healthier lives.

This week, we celebrate their dedication, their expertise, and their unwavering commitment to serving the people of Crisp County and the surrounding region. Our NPs play a vital role in increasing access to care, improving patient outcomes, and strengthening the health of our community.

To every Nurse Practitioner at Crisp Regional—thank you. Your impact reaches far beyond the walls of our facilities, and we are grateful for all you do.

After more than two years of planning and construction, Crisp Regional Hospital is celebrating the completion of its brand-new 𝘚𝘶𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘊𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳, a state-of-the-art addition designed to enhance patient care, comfort, and efficiency — right here in the heart of the Cordele community.

The project was born out of a simple but powerful mission: to provide exceptional, advanced surgical care close to home for the people of Crisp County and surrounding areas.

“We wanted to create a space that truly puts our patients and community first,” said April Dukes, CNO at Crisp Regional Hospital. “Farther away isn’t always better — sometimes the best care is the care that’s closest to home.”

A Heartfelt Thank You to the Crisp Academy Jr. Beta Club!

We are deeply grateful to the students of the Crisp Academy Jr. Beta Club for their incredible kindness and generosity! Under the leadership of their sponsor, Mrs. Sandra Fuller, these students put together 18 baskets filled with snacks and drinks and spread them throughout departments across the hospital to share with our staff.

Their kindness didn’t stop there — they also collected 35 new adult blankets and 59 baby blankets for our patients and nursery. 💙

Your thoughtfulness and hard work truly make a difference, and we are so appreciative of the love and care you’ve shown to our hospital family and those we serve. Thank you for spreading warmth and kindness throughout Crisp Regional!

🎗 Thank You, CCES Beta Club! 🎗

Today, Crisp Regional Hospital received a special donation from the Beta Club at Crisp County Elementary School in honor of Beta Club Founders Day, celebrated annually on October 24th to recognize the club’s four pillars — achievement, character, leadership, and service.

To commemorate the day, these young leaders chose to serve their community by supporting our Oncology Unit. The Beta members collected and donated over 40 bags of hard candy with handwritten notes of encouragement and 12 cold therapy packs, which are used to help reduce neuropathy in the hands and feet of patients receiving chemotherapy.

💬 The club shared:

“Many of us have been personally touched by cancer, and our members wanted to share love and encouragement with those currently fighting this battle. We’re proud to live out our motto: Let us lead by serving others.”

We are so grateful for their compassion and thoughtfulness. Acts of kindness like this remind us all how powerful community support can be in the healing journey. 💛
