Stepping out of the clinic and into the community, our Family Medicine residents spent the week volunteering at the Agriculture Expo at the PCOM South Georgia Rural Health Initiative Building in Moultrie, GA, supporting the local farming community and connecting with families right where they live.

Our Family Medicine Residents were invited to attended a medical conference at SGMC in Valdosta this past weekend. They had a great time expanding their knowledge and skills, and they even presented posters! Our dedicated faculty also led presentations, making it a truly enriching experience for everyone involved. We're incredibly proud of their hard work and dedication.

Our PGY-1 resident, Dr. Akshay Patel, was an invited speaker at the PCOM South Georgia Residency Fair in Moultrie, GA. Drawing on his experience as a recent PCOM graduate, Dr. Patel provided valuable perspective to current medical students regarding the residency application process, interview preparation, and the transition to residency life.
