We are so grateful to the teens at the Bnai Tzedek program for awarded us a grant for our animal therapy program! This grant will continue to enrich the lives of our animals around the Home, especially our therapy dog, Dan-O. The teens put so much thought and commitment into the grant process and we are so grateful to have been a part of it!

Our residents enjoyed a fun and nature-filled outing to Southern Reins for their Beyond the Saddle Program. The residents met many horses that were full of personality. They learned the different techniques of taking care of the many animals on the farm. The residents definitely felt one with nature on this trip!

Thank you so much to our volunteers from Baptist Memorial Health Care for helping us start our mural in the Restorative Nursing gym! This exercise gym is one of the places you will find our residents most often: getting in some strength training and a good cup of coffee. We are grateful to this group for adding brightness to the room.

The Restorative Nursing program is generously supported by Baptist Memorial Health Care, Kirschner Trusts at Oklahoma City Community Foundation, and First Horizon Foundation.

The classes shared that the relationships they created with the residents and each other are what makes them work harder everyday. Our Adult Day participants enjoyed a mellow afternoon of music with their fellow participant, Ron and his son! They shared songs they have practiced together with different instruments. The participants also tested their musical abilities by adding their own instruments. How special is it to have a private concert with your own community?!
