At Magnolia Regional Health Center, stories like this remind us why we do what we do every single day.

We recently received a heartfelt letter from a patient who experienced a life-threatening stroke—and took the time to thank every person involved in their care. From the rapid response of our EMS team, to the skilled hands of resident physician Dr. Kelsie Summers and our dedicated ER team, to the Life Flight crew who ensured safe transport once the patient was stabilized—this was truly a team effort.

This story is more than a thank-you. It’s a powerful reflection of what’s possible when a community comes together with a shared commitment to excellence in care.

We’re especially proud of the role our resident physicians play in moments like these. Learning side-by-side with experienced attending physicians, they are an essential part of the care team—bringing fresh perspective, dedication, and compassion to every patient encounter.
