August marks Self-Awareness Month, which is a time dedicated to understanding our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and how they relate to our mental well-being. With that being said, we will introduce our very own Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Anna Erwin.

Anna Erwin, PMHNP-BC is a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate mental healthcare in Corinth, Mississippi at Midtown Medical Clinic. She is deeply committed to holistic well-being and guides patients in understanding the crucial connection between mental and physical health.

Anna's educational journey includes an Associate Degree in Nursing from Northeast Mississippi Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Alabama, and a Master of Science in Nursing from Delta State University. She further specialized with a postgraduate certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Samford University.

With 13 years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner in both acute and primary care settings, Anna brings a unique perspective to her psychiatric practice. She helps patients understand the mind-body connection and how it impacts their overall well-being. Anna treats a wide range of conditions, including anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, depression, and substance use disorders.

Anna's treatment philosophy emphasizes a holistic approach, guiding patients to optimize their diet, exercise, sleep, community involvement, and spirituality for a more balanced and fulfilling life. She is dedicated to fostering a supportive environment where individuals feel empowered to actively participate in their treatment journey.
