Ruth Ann King is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist and the owner of King Speech-Language Therapy, LLC. She completed a BA degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Mississippi in 2009 and earned her Master of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2011. Ruth Ann has worked as a graduate intern for the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Mississippi and completed externships at both Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children in Jackson, MS, and North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. Ruth Ann is a former Vice President of the UM National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) and member of both the Mississippi Speech-Language-Hearing Association (MSHA) and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Ruth Ann has also previously worked at the Meadowood Springs Speech and Hearing Camp in Pendleton, OR. She has practiced as a licensed SLP in multiple settings within the past eight years including skilled nursing facilities, acute and rehab hospital settings, an elementary school, and various outpatient therapy settings. In 2017, Ruth Ann formed King Speech-language Therapy, LLC and began her experience in the realm of private practice. Ruth Ann has conducted research with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) with specific research in the area of AAC and Autism. Ruth Ann is a certified VitalStim Plus provider, a PROMPT Trained SLP, a LSVT LOUD certified provider, and is also certified in DTTC. She has experience working with children with feeding/swallowing deficits as well as adults with dysphagia. Ruth Ann is an ASHA ACE 2018 award recipient. Ruth Ann is married to husband,Lee King, and has two children, Emi Jane (4) and Henry (2).
Gracie Pratt is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist. She completed her BS degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Mississippi in 2016 and her Master of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Southern Mississippi in 2018. Gracie has completed graduate externships at the Childrenโs Center in Hattiesburg, MS, Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, MS, the Prentiss County School District, the MS Care Center, and Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, MS. Gracie is a former Vice President of the UM National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) and member of both the Mississippi Speech-Language-Hearing Association (MSHA) and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Gracie has been a licensed speech-language pathologist since 2018 and has worked for the past year with a rehab agency in Jackson, MS. Gracie has experience working with both children and adults specifically in the areas of language, articulation, dysphagia with experience performing modified barium swallow studies, early intervention, phonological processing, and AAC. Gracie is a certified VitalStim provider. Gracie is married to husband, Brooks Pratt.
