Corn Volunteer Fire Department Protecting property, people, to Corn, OK in an emergency, natural disaster; & also basic first aid

Today, we mourn the heartbreaking loss of two brave firefighters who were senselessly taken from this world by a sniper while serving their community. These heroes ran toward danger, not away from it and paid the ultimate price in the line of duty.

But the danger isn’t over.

As we grieve, our prayers also go out to the first responders still in harm’s way, actively hunting the individual responsible for this cowardly act. These men and women continue to put their lives on the line to protect others, even as the threat remains.

To the families, friends, and brothers and sisters in uniform our hearts are with you. And to those still on the front lines tonight: we stand with you. Stay strong, Stay Relentless!

Proud to get to work and serve alongside these outstanding individuals! Great work Chief Selman and the Weatherford Fire Department!

On a recent hunting trip in Colorado, three of our firefighters assisted multiple agencies in rescuing and extracting a patient so they could be flown to a nearby hospital. This picture is a letter of gratitude for their efforts from the agencies that they assisted. No matter what they are doing or where they are our firefighters are committed to helping people in their time of need. To Chief Kory Selman, Lieutenant Jay Whitson and Firefighter Jimmie Litsch, thank you for representing Weatherford!
