Self care comes in all forms…my self care for today included a much needed hair cut from the lovely Laura Warren of@merakibylaura! Her salon in Cornelius is BEAUTIFUL and the hot towel treatment on my head was divine. I’m ready to start my weekend. Thank you Laura!!

Seeing a patient’s transformation is always amazing but literally seeing someone’s transformation from one treatment to the next with Bells Palsy is AWESOME beyond words! I have a permanent smile on my face today (and so does he!).

Are acupuncture and dry needling different? I get this question a lot and this is a great article that discusses the two:

Once dry needling practitioners began using the same tools as acupuncture, the debate of what distinguished dry needling from acupuncture began to be more acute (from the Latin acus ‘needle’), so to speak.

Today was a “me” day as I visited Well of Mercy for a personal day retreat to sit in reflection, hike in the woods and just enjoy some silence. I can’t recommend Well of Mercy enough (50 min from Cornelius) or simply taking a day to be in nature. So good for the soul!
