Sometimes the body has to stage a quiet little mutiny before the mind is willing to listen.

This past week, mine did it with a swollen eye and total exhaustion. It leaned over and told me: “We’re done pretending this pace is sustainable.”

The funny thing is, I teach this stuff. But I’m human, too. Once I actually stopped fighting the slowdown, I realized something simple: the body isn’t trying to punish us. It’s just trying to guide us home.

I turned these raw reflections into a short, experimental video piece called *The Parking Lot Monastery.* It’s imperfect, honest, and a little different.

👇 I left the link to the full video, my newsletter, and the latest blog post in the comments below. Take a breath and check it out.

Start your morning with this—just a simple wrist and hand reset.
Roll through the wrists.
Let the movement flow.
Come up…
then back down.
Then reverse direction.
Take a breath in…
stretch…
and slowly come back.
This helps bring circulation, mobility, and awareness into the hands and wrists.
Simple movement.
Real impact.

Before you get moving—don’t skip the feet.
Press the toes flat into the floor.
Take a breath in.
Then slowly roll forward…
opening up the front of the foot.
Go easy here—especially if you don’t do this often.
Back off…
and repeat.
Then switch sides.
Simple work that helps support balance, mobility, and the entire foundation of your body.

Start your morning with this—just a simple neck reset.
Breathe in to center.
Then exhale and look over one shoulder.
Come back…
then the other side.
Next—look up…
then chin to chest.
Move slow.
Stay with the breath.
Finish with gentle circles—both directions.
This helps release tension and bring awareness back into the neck and upper spine.

Before you get moving—let’s add a little coordination.
Bring the knee up…
connect it toward the elbow.
Nice and controlled.
You don’t need speed.
Just awareness and balance.
Do a few on each side.
Stay steady. Stay present.
This helps wake up the hips, core, and coordination all at once.

Building something slowly and authentically here through Meditation in Motion, MBS Theory, and Limitless Wellness.

Trying to unlock mobile livestreaming so I can begin sharing low-tech live sessions from Robbins Park and future gatherings.

If you'd like to support the journey, the YouTube link is in my bio.

Thank you to everyone following along.

Over the last year, I’ve been slowly building out the Limitless Wellness YouTube channel with clips on grounding, breathwork, Meditation in Motion, nervous system regulation, mindfulness, and my evolving Mind • Body • Self philosophy.

I’m hoping to start doing some simple live captures from Robbins Park and future Meditation in Motion gatherings — less polished production, more real-world practice, movement, breath, sound, and community.

To unlock mobile livestreaming on YouTube, I just need a few more subscribers.

If my work has helped you, inspired you, grounded you, or simply made you pause and breathe for a moment, I’d truly appreciate the support.

And honestly, thank you to everyone who’s been following this strange, beautiful journey as it continues to evolve.

This week reminded me of something many of us intellectually understand—but rarely practice:

The body usually knows long before the mind catches up.

After pushing through stress, overwork, and nonstop movement for too long, my system finally forced a pause.

What surprised me wasn’t the exhaustion.

It was the clarity that came after slowing down.

As someone who works in mental health and nervous system regulation, I’m continually reminded that sustainable work, leadership, and healing all require the ability to notice signals before burnout makes the decision for us.

I wrote a reflection about that experience here:

Also excited to begin our summer Meditation in Motion series at Robbins Park in Cornelius starting June 7th.

One beat. One breath. One movement.

Before you get moving today—let’s warm up the knees.
Feet together.
Start by bringing a little energy around them—front, back, sides.
Then hands on the knees.
Small circles.
Whatever feels comfortable.
Five or six one way…
then switch.
Keep it controlled.
Then slowly come back up.
Simple work that helps support and protect the joints before you move.

Start your morning with this—just a simple hip reset.
Hands on the lower back.
As you circle, apply a little pressure.
Move slow.
Five times one way…
then switch.
Work into the lower spine as you go.
This helps bring awareness, mobility, and support into the hips and low back.
Simple movement.
Strong foundation.

Sway the Head, Shake the Tail | Movement & Reset
A simple flowing movement from World Tai Chi & Qigong Day.
Breathing, shifting, loosening things up, and letting the body move naturally.
Sometimes these practices aren’t about doing it perfectly.
They’re about reconnecting with the body, settling the mind, and letting tension move through.
Move slow.
Breathe naturally.
See how you feel.
