Personal Fitness Goals:

Fitness Achievements:
- I have progressed from major mobility issues to lunging and squatting using weights.
- I have lost weight and feel so much better.

Words of Encouragement:
Earlier this year, I walked into In Motion with major mobility issues in my knee. I could not squat or lunge without major pain. I hadn’t worked out consistently in a long while. I tried all conventional medicine had to offer and with the help and encouragement from Gary, I was able to function without pain again. Such a lifesaver…literally! He encouraged me to exercise again and be consistent in the effort. I joined the personal training at In Motion and it’s the best thing I did! With the help of my wonderful trainer Abbi, she has pushed me out of my comfort zone to help me grow in strength and consistency. The two things I was missing in my life. She is so uplifting and teaching me that it’s not a number on a scale or number of weights in pounds, but the consistency needed to make changes. She always pushes me to get stronger! My advice would be kind to yourself. Fitness is a journey, not a sprint. You are not ‘too old’ nor ‘too out of shape’ nor ‘too busy’ to make small changes in your life for your health. Every step forward is progress. No matter how small. Take some time out of your day for you and your health. A few months down the road you will be grateful you did.

My experience is when My trainer Ryan and physical therapist worked closely together throughout my recovery to strengthen my shoulder, which played a huge role in speeding up the healing process. They communicated regularly to make sure my rehab exercises were aligned with my training goals, gradually increasing intensity while making sure I stayed safe. My physical therapist focused on rebuilding mobility and stability, while my trainer helped me regain strength and confidence through carefully modified workouts. Because they worked as a team, my recovery progressed much faster than expected, and I was able to return to normal activity sooner and with less discomfort.
