Burnout doesn’t usually show up all at once. It builds quietly.
It looks like saying yes when you meant no.
Pushing through exhaustion because “you should be able to handle it.”
Being the strong one for everyone else… while no one checks on you.
Blurring the line between rest and responsibility until there’s no real break left.
Over time, it adds up:
• Chronic stress without recovery
• Unrealistic expectations (from others or yourself)
• Lack of boundaries
• Feeling undervalued or unseen
• Carrying too much emotional weight for too long
And then one day, even small things feel overwhelming.
Real talk: burnout isn’t a personal failure. It’s often a signal that something in your life needs attention, support, or change.
You don’t have to keep running on empty.
Therapy can be a space to unpack what’s been piling up, rebuild boundaries, and reconnect with yourself in a way that actually feels sustainable.
If you’ve been feeling this way lately, you’re not alone and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself.
