Time to assemble! I can’t believe I’ve been able to keep this mini-me doll a secret from my kid, even when I’ve sometimes been working on it right in front of him. The birthday countdown is on!

First 5 of 33 berry mini granny squares completed! I’ve been a little MIA in posting because work and State testing have sucked up all my free time. We just had Spring Break and so I’ve been able to catch up on some important projects. These squares are the last “firsts” for this blanket. It’s pretty exciting to be this close.

She loved it! I’ve been going on walks in the morning with a friend to get myself feeling healthier. During those walks, I noticed she was carrying her water bottle in her arms the whole time. I made this to help her out and it holds her Stanley with a handle so well! I used double strands of yarn to give the carrier extra support and longevity for all our future walks together. By the way, morning sunrises are pretty beautiful!

I had my first Crochet With Me class for Spring this week. I lucked out by having returning students so I was able to teach them intermediate skills like meeting gauge, back loops only, and creating ribbing. It’s nice to be back at it again, and this time, with friends 😁

Making progress on my Andrew Doll. It’s time he got his own mini-me. The only trick is that I have to work on it while he’s sleeping to maintain the surprise. It’s a good thing we are rewatching Firefly to keep us entertained every night. Anyone else excited for the announcement coming from the Serenity crew? Maybe I make a Jayne earflap beanie when I’m done?

The beginnings of a sleeve! I finished the body and ribbing for this sweater and now it hits right where I want it. Then I put it on to measure where I want the sleeves to be. I’m going for a half-sleeve that ends right above my elbow. As a side note, I put this on my 6 year old, just to see, and it fits her like a dress. Now she thinks it’s for her, haha!
