Currently, you cannot see a physical therapist in CA for more than 12 visits or 45 calendar days without a doctor’s prescription😂

Bill 2497 would allow a PT to legally see you ANYTIME without the need for a prescription — saving weeks (or more) of wasted time and money. This bill would also allow PTs to order, receive, and interpret X-Ray / MRI results and perform dry needling.

PTs are more than capable of safely performing all of these procedures. Opposition to this bill stems from the incentive of physicians to add extra office visits (to make extra $) and is not in the best interest of patients — who need immediate treatment.
