During the entire month of October, our CRMC employees are encouraged to WEAR PINK in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In addition, CRMC will have a team walking in the Support Sisterz "Combat Cancer Walk" at The Shops at Dos Lagos tomorrow, October 18th. The Opening Ceremony starts at 8:30 AM and the walk begins at 9 AM. Come join us!

Recently, a team of therapists and an ER nurse from Corona Regional Medical Center attended the Southwest Healthcare Cardiac Symposium. The event highlighted the latest advances in cardiac care being provided across Southwest Healthcare facilities in Southern California, all aimed at improving outcomes and enhancing patient care. A big thank you to our team for attending and continuing to expand their clinical knowledge to better serve our patients!

Our CEO, Alistair Machoka, had the honor of speaking at our local Soroptimist meeting. These women leaders meet regularly with a mission to empower women and girls through education and training, enabling them to be self-sufficient. Alistair shared an update on healthcare in our community and what the future plans are for CRMC. Thank you for having us!

To prepare for the Great California Shake Out, Corona Regional Medical Center had a Disaster Fair on both campuses last week. It was called "CODE READY!" The Corona Police and Fire Departments were here and shared their disaster expertise with our staff. We had cybersecurity, workplace violence and earthquake preparedness. A huge thank you to our COO, Morgan, for organizing this great event!

Last month, our EVS staff celebrated National Healthcare Environmental Services Week with activities planned each day. The theme for the week was - recognizing the amazing team who work in our hospitals and health systems. Our amazing EVS staff maintain a safe, clean and healthy healthcare environment and prevent the spread of infection. Thank you, EVS Team, for all you do each and every day!

Today, the Concierge and Security teams celebrated our volunteer Patty’s birthday.

Patty has been a dedicated volunteer at Corona Regional Medical Center for more than 25 years, and both our staff and patients adore her. While she spent many years volunteering in the gift shop, she now serves as an es**rt at the main front desk. Patty helps guide patients and families throughout the hospital, making their visits more efficient and welcoming.

Recently, our entire Leadership Team attended an off-site educational meeting. The morning was spent with our CEO, Alistair Machoka, sharing the State of the Hospital, reviewing our HR policies and survey action plans. Our leaders work long hours with a primary focus on improving our patients' experience. Being together in a great environment was a welcome change and a wonderful learning experience.

Last night, Corona Regional Medical Center was a sponsor of the Corona Police Fundraiser held at Texas Roadhouse. Proceeds raised support the Police Association with their many local projects. Our own Provider Relations Director, Martin Kleinbart, won the grand prize, a Money Tree full of gift cards from a number of businesses in the local community. Congratulations Martin!

Corona Regional Medical Center was a proud sponsor at the recent Eastvale State of the City event. Eastvale Mayor Mike McMinn named the event "Breaking New Ground" and did a fantastic job of sharing how the City of Eastvale has broken ground on many new businesses, restaurants and even a new City Hall. It was very informative, entertaining and the Taste of Eastvale following was a huge hit. We're proud to provide healthcare services to the residents of Eastvale!
