Today is Mental Health Awareness Day. I have had the privilege of presenting on Mental Health Points of Interest to local businesses as well as representing EAPs at benefit fairs over the last few months. Topics I have presented are: Working with Multigenerational Teams, How to Deal With a Difficult Person, Optimizing Workflow (Avoiding Procrastination), Giving Effective Feedback in Personal or Work Situations.

I am encouraged to see companies take a proactive approach to mental health and that they recognize the importance of these workshops.

Take time today to see how you can take proactive steps to nurturing your mental health as well as those around you.

Today’s workplace presentation. Why do we have two ears and one mouth? The answer quoted was, “because it’s twice as hard to listen”. I like to say, we should be doing twice as much listening for better communication.

Latest update! My limited in office appointments are Friday 8-12. Mon, Wed telehealth 8-3. Sat 8-12 co-parenting only. (Co-parenting can be scheduled during other business hours as well as Saturdays).

It’s been a busy season! Wishing you all good mental health as we head into 2023🎉

Effective 10/1/2022 My practice will officially be primarily telehealth. I will have a few slots available on Mondays for established clients to have in-office. New clients will be telehealth. Saturday’s will be for court mandated co-parenting only(co-parenting can also be scheduled during the other business hours, but no therapy clients will be seen on Saturdays).

I had started doing some telehealth prior to the pandemic with the goal of transitioning as I reduced my caseload. The pandemic just helped me speed up the process.

Most clients have found this new platform to be user friendly and much more flexible for scheduling. The quality of care is not sacrificed. Privacy and confidentiality is protected as I use a Hippa compliant Zoom platform.

I am excited about continuing my services via telehealth.
