Sis, let's talk about something that so many women experience but very few feel comfortable bringing up. ๐Ÿ’›

Intimate hyperpigmentation is incredibly common โ€” and you do not have to just live with it.

Darkening of the skin around the intimate areas, inner thighs, groin, and underarms affects women of all ages, all backgrounds, and all skin tones. It can be caused by friction, pregnancy, hormonal changes, age, and even the way our clothing fits. It is a normal, natural occurrence โ€” and yet so many women carry quiet feelings of self-consciousness about it that affect their confidence and their intimate lives.

At Nurturing You, I offer Intimate Lightening using the globally recognized Dermamelanยฎ protocol โ€” and I want you to know that this service is gentle, professional, and completely judgment-free.

Here is what you can expect:
๐ŸŒธ Safe and comfortable โ€” performed by me personally, in a private and supportive environment
๐Ÿ’†๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ Painless and non-invasive โ€” no downtime, no discomfort
โœจ Real results โ€” most patients see a noticeable difference after the very first visit, with full satisfaction in under 30 days
๐ŸŒฟ Anti-aging benefits โ€” the Dermamelanยฎ protocol also renews and rejuvenates the skin in the treated area

You deserve to feel beautiful and confident โ€” in every part of your body, in every private moment. That is not vanity. That is self-care. And it is exactly what I am here for. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

If this is something you have been quietly curious about, I invite you to reach out. Booking link is in my bio โ€” or call us at (844) 845-8737. Come see me. ๐Ÿ’›

Drop a ๐Ÿ’› if you appreciate a doctor who talks about ALL of women's wellness โ€” not just the easy topics. ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿฝ

Sis, did you know that your gut and your estrogen are in a constant conversation โ€” and when your gut is struggling, your hormones feel it almost immediately? ๐Ÿ’›

Let me introduce you to something called the estrobolome.

The estrobolome is a collection of gut bacteria that produces a specific enzyme responsible for regulating how estrogen is metabolized and recirculated throughout your body. When your gut microbiome is balanced and thriving, this process works beautifully โ€” estrogen is properly processed, used, and eliminated. But when your gut is disrupted โ€” by stress, antibiotics, poor diet, or inflammation โ€” the estrobolome becomes imbalanced. And your estrogen balance goes right along with it.

Here is what that can look like in your body:
๐Ÿซƒ๐Ÿฝ Bloating and constipation that seems to flare up around your cycle
๐Ÿฉธ Painful, heavy or irregular periods with no clear explanation
โš–๏ธ Unexplained weight gain especially around the midsection
๐Ÿง  Brain fog, anxiety and mood swings that follow a hormonal pattern
โœจ Skin breakouts that consistently appear right before your period

If any of those sound familiar, your gut may be at the root of what you are experiencing hormonally.

The beautiful thing is that your gut microbiome is something you can actively support โ€” through fiber-rich foods, fermented foods, reducing inflammatory triggers, managing stress, and targeted probiotic support when appropriate.

Your gut health is your hormone health. They are not separate conversations. They are the same one. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

Save this post and share it with a sis who has been struggling with hormonal symptoms and has never heard this connection before. It might just change everything for her. ๐Ÿ’›

Questions? Drop them below โ€” I read every single one. ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿฝ

Happy Monday, sis. I want to start this week with something gentle. Something I think a lot of us need to hear right now. ๐Ÿ’›

Healing is not linear. And that is okay.

Some weeks you feel like a completely different woman. Your energy is back, your mind is clear, you are sleeping, you are showing up for yourself in all the ways you promised you would. And it feels so good.

And then other weeks โ€” for reasons you may not even be able to fully explain โ€” you feel like you have taken ten steps backward. The fatigue comes back. The anxiety creeps in. The motivation disappears. And you start wondering if all that progress was even real.

Sis, it was real. Every single bit of it. ๐ŸŒธ

Healing does not move in a straight line. It moves in spirals and seasons. It has good days and hard ones. It has breakthroughs and setbacks that are actually just redirections in disguise. And none of that โ€” not one bit of it โ€” means you are failing.

What it means is that you are human. And you are in the middle of something that takes time, patience, and a whole lot of grace โ€” most importantly, grace for yourself.

Progress is not always visible. Sometimes it is simply the fact that you got up this morning. That you made one good choice today. That you reached out for support instead of suffering in silence. That you are still here, still trying, still showing up in whatever way you can.

That counts. That always counts. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

So wherever you are on your wellness journey today โ€” whether you are feeling strong or feeling weary โ€” I want you to know that you are right on time. Your healing is unfolding exactly as it should.

Keep going, loves. Not perfectly. Just forward. ๐Ÿ’›

Drop a ๐Ÿ’› below if you needed this today. And share it with a woman who has been a little too hard on herself lately. ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿฝ

Sis, can I be honest with you about something? ๐Ÿ’›

If you have ever tried to lose weight by counting calories, cutting carbs, pushing through intense workouts โ€” and still felt like your body simply refused to cooperate โ€” I want you to know that you are not broken. You may just have never had someone look at the real reason the weight isn't moving.

Because here is what most weight loss programs will never tell you:
If your hormones are out of balance, no diet in the world is going to give you lasting results.

This is exactly why the approach to weight loss at Nurturing You is different. Genuinely, fundamentally different.

I am not here to hand you a meal plan and send you on your way. I am here to understand what is actually happening inside your body โ€” because weight that won't budge is almost always telling us something important.

Here is what we look at together:
๐Ÿฆ‹ Your thyroid: even a sluggish thyroid that falls within "normal" range can slow your metabolism significantly and make weight loss feel nearly impossible.

๐Ÿฉธ Your insulin levels: insulin resistance is one of the most common and most overlooked drivers of stubborn weight gain, especially around the belly. We check fasting insulin, not just blood sugar.

โšก Your cortisol: chronic stress keeps cortisol elevated, and elevated cortisol tells your body to store fat. No amount of exercise overcomes a nervous system that is stuck in survival mode.

๐ŸŒธ Your estrogen and progesterone: hormonal imbalance shifts where your body stores fat, slows your metabolism, disrupts your sleep, and drives cravings. When hormones are supported, everything else becomes more possible.

Once we have the full picture, we build a plan that is made entirely for you. Your labs, your symptoms, your lifestyle, your goals. Not a template. Not a program designed for someone else's body. Yours.

This is personalized, hormone-centered medical weight loss โ€” and it is one of the most meaningful things I get to offer the women who trust me with their care. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

If you have been struggling and you are ready to try something that actually looks for the root cause โ€” I would love to see you.

Let's figure this out together. ๐Ÿ’›

04/23/2026

Happy Earth Day, sis. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’›

Today we celebrate the earth โ€” and I want to talk about something that connects the health of our planet directly to the health of your hormones. Because what is in your environment is absolutely in your body.

Let me introduce you to something called endocrine disruptors.

These are chemicals found in everyday products โ€” plastics, cleaning supplies, personal care products, cosmetics, food packaging โ€” that can interfere with the way your body produces, regulates, and responds to hormones. According to the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, a division of the NIH, endocrine disruptors can mimic or block your body's natural hormones โ€” disrupting everything from your thyroid function to your estrogen balance to your fertility.

And sis, they are everywhere.

Here are some of the most common ones to be aware of:
๐Ÿงด Parabens โ€” preservatives found in lotions, shampoos, and cosmetics. They have been shown to mimic estrogen in the body. Look for "paraben-free" on your labels.

๐Ÿงช Phthalates โ€” found in fragrances, nail polish, and flexible plastics. The NIH has identified them as hormone disruptors that can affect reproductive health.

๐Ÿซ™ BPA (Bisphenol A) โ€” found in some plastic bottles and food containers. It can leach into food and beverages and interfere with estrogen signaling. Look for BPA-free products.

๐Ÿงน Triclosan โ€” an antibacterial agent found in some soaps and household cleaners. The FDA has actually banned it from certain products due to health concerns.

๐ŸŒธ Synthetic fragrance โ€” the word "fragrance" on a label can represent dozens of undisclosed chemicals, some of which are known hormone disruptors.

The good news? You do not have to overhaul your entire life overnight. Small, intentional swaps add up to meaningful protection over time. Here are a few gentle places to start:
โœ… Switch to a glass or stainless steel water bottle
โœ… Choose fragrance-free or naturally scented personal care products
โœ… Look for "paraben-free" and "phthalate-free" on your cosmetics
โœ… Store food in glass containers rather than plastic
โœ… Try plant-based or naturally derived cleaning products

Your hormones are sensitive, sis. And they are worth protecting โ€” not just on Earth Day, but every single day. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

Save this post, share it with your circle, and let me know in the comments โ€” which swap are you making first? ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿฝ

04/22/2026

Sis, I need you to hear this today โ€” and I need you to really let it sink in. ๐Ÿ’›

Menopause weight gain is not a willpower problem. It is not a discipline problem. It is not a character flaw. It is a hormone problem. And there is a difference.

I cannot tell you how many women come into my practice having spent years โ€” sometimes decades โ€” blaming themselves for something their body was doing completely beyond their control. They are eating the same way they always have. They are moving their bodies. They are trying. And the scale keeps climbing anyway, especially around the middle, and they are exhausted and frustrated and convinced they are doing something wrong.

They are not doing anything wrong. Their estrogen is.

Here is what is actually happening inside your body during menopause:
๐Ÿ”ฅ Your metabolism slows. Estrogen plays a direct role in regulating metabolism. As it declines, your body burns calories more slowly โ€” even if nothing else about your lifestyle has changed.

๐Ÿซƒ๐Ÿฝ Fat redistributes to the belly. Before menopause, estrogen encourages fat to be stored in the hips and thighs. As estrogen drops, that pattern shifts โ€” and fat moves to the abdomen instead. This is not about what you are eating. This is about what your hormones are doing.

๐Ÿ˜ด Sleep gets disrupted. Hot flashes, night sweats, and the direct effect of low estrogen on sleep architecture mean many menopausal women are not getting restorative sleep. And poor sleep raises cortisol, which drives even more belly fat storage.

Here is what I want you to walk away knowing: your body is not betraying you. It is changing. And change, when it is understood and supported properly, does not have to mean suffering.

In my practice, we look at the full hormonal picture โ€” estrogen, progesterone, thyroid, cortisol, and insulin โ€” and we build a personalized plan that works with your changing body, not against it.
You deserve solutions. Not shame. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

Come see me, sis. This is exactly what I am here for. Booking link is in my bio. ๐Ÿ’›

Save this post and share it with a woman who has been blaming herself for something that was never her fault. She needs to see this today. ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿฝ

04/20/2026

Happy Monday, sis. I need you to hear this before you start your week. ๐Ÿ’›
You were not built to be small. You were not built to be silent. And you were absolutely not built to shrink yourself so that everyone else around you stays comfortable.

I know how easy it is to fall into that pattern. To say yes when you mean no. To keep going when your body is begging you to stop. To put yourself last on the list โ€” after the kids, after work, after everyone else's needs have been met โ€” and then wonder why you feel so depleted.

Sis, that is not strength. That is survival. And you deserve so much more than just surviving.

So this week I want to give you something: permission.

๐ŸŒธ Permission to take up space โ€” in your relationships, your career, your health, your life. You belong in every room you walk into.

๐Ÿ˜ด Permission to rest โ€” not as a reward for productivity, but as a practice. Your body is not a machine. Rest is not laziness. Rest is how you heal.

๐Ÿ’› Permission to choose yourself first โ€” because a woman who is poured into, cared for, and whole has so much more to give to the people she loves.

This week, I want you to do one thing that is purely, unapologetically for you. One thing. That is where it begins. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

Drop a ๐Ÿ’› if you needed this today. And share it with the woman in your life who has been putting herself last for far too long. She needs these words. ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿฝ

Have the most beautiful week, loves. You've got this. ๐ŸŒธ

It is time for one of my favorite kinds of posts โ€” because this one is all about YOU. ๐Ÿ’›

I talk a lot about hormones in this space, and every single week I get messages from women with questions they have been sitting with โ€” sometimes for years.

Questions they were afraid to ask. Questions they didn't know where to take. Questions they thought were too small or too complicated or too embarrassing to bring up.

There is no such thing here, sis. ๐Ÿ’ฌ

So today I want to open the floor completely.

๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿฝ Drop your number one hormone question in the comments below.

It can be anything โ€” about your cycle, your weight, your mood, your sleep, perimenopause, menopause, PCOS, thyroid, libido, lab work, anything at all. If it has been sitting in the back of your mind, this is your moment.

I read every single comment. And I will be responding to the top questions right here in this thread. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

This is your space. Ask away. ๐Ÿ’›
