So thankful to be the Opening and Closing speaker, and workshop presenter at the 2025 California (YMLA) Youth Mentoring Leadership Conference in Newport Beach.

Theme: BUILDING Effective Leaders Through Health & Wellness.

I LOVE sending our youth back into their homes, schools, and communities better equipped to deal with their wellbeing. Also, their willingness to share the wealth is invaluable!!! 😍😍😍

These kids were ABSOLUTELY amazing. Approximately 75% of them we're new to the conference and came in like true leaders, seeking knowledge and following directions. I was in awe as I observed the growth in just four days of their confidence, outspoken characters, perspectives and so much more. These amazing officers and chaperones brought them from all over California and they deserve a round of applause.👏🏽 🙌🏾

If you're looking for a program to support, please reach out to your nearest police department and ask how you can support their PAL, (Police Activities League) SAL, (Sheriff's Activities League) or YAL (Youth Activities League).

Last but not least, thank you to Jennifer Lopez CAL/PAL (California Police Activities League) Executive Director, for ALWAYS loving these kids and making these events happen!!! YOU ARE THE GREATEST!!! THIS is because of you, your dedication and hard work!!!

We had an awesome time on Monday. The youth attended workshops on becoming entrepreneurs, attendibding college, the military, joining the union, and many more professions.

Then, we conducted mock interviews to help them learn interview etiquette and skills to help them land the jobs.

We ended the day off with a BBQ at the park.
