Known for its strong reputation at repelling insects, Citranella, is a zesty herb belonging to the same family as lemongrass. It is most commonly used as an essential oil and known to be effective against mosquitos, head lice and other pesky bugs.
Not so commonly known, Citranella, can be taken in tea form from the fresh leaf to reduce fevers, expel parasites from the intestine, increase appetite, strengthen the immune system and ease headaches.
When used topically or in aromatherapy it uplifts negative moods, improves circulation, slows the cells aging process, and reduces pain, inflammation, and muscle spasms.
