Breastfeeding is more than nourishment—it’s a powerful way to support both baby and mom.

From helping protect little ones against infections to providing perfectly tailored nutrition, breastfeeding offers benefits that last far beyond the newborn stage. It also supports mom’s health in meaningful ways, creating a strong foundation for both.

At My DOC, we’re here to support you every step of your journey—whether you’re preparing for motherhood or navigating those early days with your baby.

Pregnancy is such an incredible journey—and sometimes it’s hard to picture just how much your little one is growing! Thankfully, the NHS UK gives us a great way to reference how big our babies grow over time!

From tiny beginnings to full-term baby, here’s a peek at how your baby grows week by week:

Early weeks: as small as a poppy seed or raspberry
First trimester: around the size of a plum
Second trimester: reaching the size of a banana or corn on the cob
Third trimester: now pumpkin can be as big as a pumpkin!

Each stage brings amazing development—from forming tiny fingers to practicing little kicks you can feel. Every pregnancy is unique, but one thing stays the same—you and your baby are incredible and loved!

For more information about the growth of your baby during pregnancy, check out the NHS UK's website! https://www.nhs.uk/best-start-in-life/pregnancy/week-by-week-guide-to-pregnancy/

Today we celebrate International Women’s Day — a day to honor the strength, resilience, and immeasurable impact of women everywhere.

At My DOC, we have the privilege of walking alongside women during some of the most powerful and vulnerable moments of their lives — through pregnancy, motherhood, and beyond.

International Women’s Day reminds us why access to compassionate, quality obstetric and maternal healthcare matters so deeply. When women are supported, families are strengthened. When mothers are cared for, communities thrive.

To every woman we serve, and to every woman making a difference in homes, workplaces, and communities, we celebrate you today and every day.

Happy International Women’s Day!

On Valentine’s Day, My DOC's Executive Director Dr. Khatibi attended the American Heart Association’s Heart Ball — an inspiring evening focused on advancing cardiovascular health and saving lives. Along with Dr. Khatibi, KIII 3 News's John-Thomas Kobos and Dr. Salim Surani showed their support towards bringing awareness about cardiovascular health.

Heart health is especially important in maternal and obstetric care. Cardiovascular disease remains one of the leading causes of pregnancy-related complications, and conditions like hypertension, preeclampsia, and peripartum cardiomyopathy can have lasting effects on both mother and baby.

At My DOC, we believe maternal health is heart health. Early risk assessment, blood pressure monitoring, and comprehensive prenatal care are essential parts of protecting mothers during pregnancy and beyond.

We’re grateful for opportunities to support organizations working to improve outcomes for women and families in our community. ❤️
