Fact: Consuming 1 Kg of lamb meat produces same amount of CO2 as driving 90 miles.

Eating one small burger 🍔is equivalent to driving 20 miles.

Not all foods are equal. Animal products are resource and labor intensive. This is not a post to tell you what you can or can not eat. But imagine tomorrow’s world. More flooding, heat waves, hurricane, sea level rise. What can you and I do to prevent it?

I don’t believe most people are harming the planet knowingly. However, we have to accept the reality of climate change. It is already here. Our actions NOW will decide to what degree it will affect the future generation. Yes, you, me and all of us have to change to mitigate climate change’s effects. After all, there is only one planet Earth 🌎,our home.

No matter what are the terms used, intermittent fasting, dieting, intuitive eating, blah blah and blah, the only way to achieve weight loss is calorie deficit i.e. burning or using more energy than consuming.

One way to consume less calories is to consume less calorie dense foods 🍏🍓🫐🥒🥬🥦🫑> 🍰🍩🍕🥞🥑🥔You can find more tips on the slide no. 6 & 7.

I just put two and two together as why these foods are served during Thanksgiving. It turns out, Thanksgiving is a day of giving thanks for sacrifice and for the blessing of the harvest of the preceding year. These produce are common fall seasonal harvest. How does eating season produce, especially from your local farmers market, help the local economy and the environment?

The less time the food takes to travel from farm to your table, less is its environmental footprint and buying it directly from local growers helps the local economy.

• Each macronutrients has its indispensable function. So before you go for that fad diet, remember, your body needs carbs, fat, and protein in balance and no matter what media hype tells you, carbs and fat are not your enemies.

• It’s all about balance, 55-70 % daily calorie intake from complex, fiber rich carbs, 15-25% daily calorie intake from mainly mono and poly unsaturated fats, and 7-20% daily calorie intake from lean proteins.
