This year, give the gift of joy and remembrance. The holiday season is magical, but for some of our residents at The Waterford at Corpus Christi, a little bit of extra cheer goes a long way.
Our annual Adopt an Angel program is officially open!
We are asking our generous community to "adopt" one of our wonderful seniors and provide them with a small, personal gift. It could be a simple, warm blanket, their favorite lotion, or a special treat.
We understand that times are difficult, and we want to emphasize: it's truly the thought that counts. No matter how small the gesture, knowing someone cares is the greatest gift of all. Let's make sure none of our Angels are forgotten this Christmas.

Joy & Glitter! Our Residents Crafting Holiday Memories 🎨✨
The holiday spirit is in full swing here at The Waterford at Corpus Christi! We absolutely loved spending the afternoon getting creative with our wonderful residents, who put their heart and soul into making beautiful holiday arts and crafts. The glittering ornaments and personalized festive decorations added joy to the room!
Moments like these make our community feel like home.
A massive, heartfelt THANK YOU goes out to Melissa of Caring Hearts Hospice and Palliative Care! Melissa facilitated the entire activity, bringing so much warmth and fun to our residents. We are grateful to our partners who help us create such meaningful and memorable days.

A massive shoutout and heartfelt thank you go out to Rick of New Century Hospice for bringing the brushes, the guidance, and the incredible holiday cheer.

🐾 We were so happy to have our sweet therapy dog friends visit our residents at The Waterford at Corpus Christi. Asher, Louie, and Dolly brought their A game and a lot of charms!
Seeing the love between the dogs and our residents was truly special.
These visits do more than bring joy; they bring peace, friendship, and warmth.

Today, our hearts are full. At Waterford at Corpus Christi, we paused to host a profound and moving Veteran Recognition Ceremony in honor of the heroes who reside among us.
They answered the call, trading their civilian lives for a uniform and dedicating their youth to protecting the freedoms we cherish every single day. Their stories of bravery, commitment, and selfless service were truly inspiring, and it was our greatest honor to formally acknowledge their sacrifices today.
We are deeply touched by the opportunity we had to look each of our resident veterans in the eye, say "thank you," and ensure their service is never forgotten within our community.
A special and sincere thank you to the incredible partners who made this ceremony so powerful:

Anna often dreamed of returning to her homeland of Germany. The Good Tree team saw how deeply she was connected to her German roots, so they decided to bring a piece of Germany to her. They prepared goulash and other traditional German dishes, creating a festive atmosphere filled with warmth and nostalgia. Residents and staff gathered to celebrate Anna’s heritage, sharing stories and learning more about German customs.

Autumn Glen celebrated the 70th wedding anniversary of Bill and Mary Lou this week. It was a big week for Billy, a resident of The Waterford at Mesquite. In honor of Father’s Day, the local mayor visited the community to recognize Billy as the oldest father living in Mesquite! Just a few days later, Billy celebrated his 100th birthday surrounded by family and friends. The celebration was filled with laughter and plenty of birthday cake. Billy’s milestone serves as an inspiration to everyone in the community.

John, a Magnolia Trails resident at Georgetowne Place, grew up on a farm and spent his childhood driving tractors and milking cows. He often shared these fond memories, so the team knew exactly what would make the perfect Tree of Dreams by bringing him back to the farm! With his daughter and great-grandson in tow, John was thrilled to see how things have changed and deeply grateful for the experience. Great job, team!

The Waterford at Round Rock worked with resident Becky’s daughter to give her the surprise of a lifetime by restoring their family car, a 1965 Ford Mustang. Filled with memories of family vacations and drives with her late husband, Becky’s eyes filled with tears. The moment she saw the fully restored Mustang, she was overcome with emotion and gratitude. What a beautiful gift and a reminder of cherished memories!
