Happy Volunteer Week!

We love our volunteers and the amazing care that they provide our patients. We caught up with one of them this week.

Elia Martinez has been volunteering with our office since 2022. Her favorite part of being a volunteer is the people. She enjoys the company and doesn't feel alone when volunteering. She believes that she has made a positive impact on the patients that she's volunteered for. Patients enjoy her company, and she provides a lot of assistance to her patients' families. When asked what made her decide to volunteer, she replied, "The love of caring for others in the past, I decided to volunteer to continue to give back."

We're almost done with Q1 for 2025! Our work is difficult on many levels, but teamwork does help make it a little easier. We took a couple of hours earlier this year to celebrate our Q3 Circle of Excellence Award with a painting party. Who knew we had so many artists! Since the Circle of Excellence recognition program began, we have been awarded four out of seven quarters! That is quite an accomplishment!

Happy anniversary to Isabel Odeh, who is celebrating 27 years with us this month!

Isabel started working as our social worker in 1997. She continually goes above and beyond for our patients and is an amazing team member. We love her and all that she does! Her attention to detail and perseverance is an example to us all.

Isabel was one of Gentiva's 2022 Regional Clinicians of the Year for the Southwest Region. We are proud of her and look forward to another year working with her.
