💙 Honoring a Legacy - Al Guzman 💙

After 31 years in the fitness industry, we are honoring Alfonso “Al” Guzman as he retires from Hest Fitness Products. Tomorrow is Al’s last day, and while we are sad to see him go. Yet, we are deeply grateful for his many years of dedication and service. Al, thank you for everything — you will always be part of the Hest family! 💙

Al began with Hest in 1993 in delivery and assembly. Within nine months, he became manager of our McAllen store, a role he held for 15 years. After stepping away for a year, he quickly rejoined the team as our Service Manager, where he earned certifications in Precor equipment and entertainment systems. Over the years, he truly came to know every part of this business inside and out.

Al has always led by example. Throughout his entire career with Hest, he started his days between 4–5 a.m. with a workout before work. His lifelong dedication to fitness has kept him in excellent shape, and even at 68, he remains incredibly fit. His discipline and commitment continue to inspire both our team and our customers.

His leadership, knowledge, and kindness have left a lasting impact on both our customers and our team. He has truly lived our mission to help people LOOK Better. FEEL Better. DO More.

At Hest Fitness Products, leadership isn’t just about running a store — it’s about living the lifestyle and helping others every step of the way.

Our General Manager, Joseph Gonzalez, has lived a life built on discipline, competition, and passion for fitness. Before his decades of success in retail management and fitness sales, Joseph was a Collegiate All-American at Blinn College — an achievement that opened the door to being drafted by the Montreal Expos.

What followed was a 10-year career and more than 1,000 games in Minor League Baseball, where he learned the value of teamwork, resilience, and giving your best every single day.

Those same qualities now define his leadership at Hest. With over 30 years in the fitness industry and a degree in Exercise Science, Joseph channels his experience into helping our customers find the right equipment and motivating our team to deliver the very best service.

We’re proud to have his guidance, leadership, and passion driving us forward at Hest Fitness Products.

From Marine to Mentor – Happy Birthday, Roland!

Today we’re celebrating Roland Untalan — a true cornerstone of our San Antonio team.

Roland served in the U.S. Marine Corps and Army Reserve with honor, completing tours in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Okinawa. That same discipline, work ethic, and heart now show up every day in his role as our lead service technician and commercial fitness expert.

Since joining Hest Fitness Products in 2012, Roland has helped countless customers meet their goals — and inspired our team with his commitment to service, family, and community.
