The State of Texas has distributed 5000 more COVID19 vaccines to Corpus Christi. They will be administered at the Richard Borchard Fairgrounds in Robstown starting at 8AM Friday morning. On-site registration starts at 6AM. It is recommended that you line up early! 2500 Vaccines will be given each day on Friday and Saturday to anyone over 18 who has at least one chronic medical condition. No proof of the chronic condition is required.

Contraindications to the vaccine: anaphylaxis to any component of the vaccine, have had another vaccine within the past 14 days, received monoclonal antibodies or convalescent plasma treatment within the past 90 days.

If you currently have COVID-19 and did not receive either of these treatments, you'll need to wait until you're better and OUT OF QUARANTINE before receiving the vaccine.

Many patients have been asking about the COIVD19 vaccine. We are awaiting the FDA's emergency approval of a vaccine next week. We do not have an estimated date that we will be able to offer the vaccine to our patients as of yet, and we are hoping to have it available in the springtime. In the meantime, please continue to avoid high risk situations, crowds, and wear a mask at all times.

Dr. Philbrick is still accepting new patients. There is a waiting list of about six weeks for a new patient appointment, which is one of the shortest in the area to be seen by a board certified internist. Please call us for more information.
