This is in no way meant to be a political post of any kind. However, there is a new government website TrumpRX (https://trumprx.gov/) that can dramatically (up to 90% or more) lower your prescription drug costs - no insurance needed. This is the early stage for this new, novel approach, so a somewhat limited selection of prescription drugs are online now, but many more prescription drugs are expected to be added in the future. I will be moving to my new location on Thursday, April 1, 2021. The new address is 700 Everhart, STE H-1. I believe my patients will really enjoy this beautiful, relaxing, and newly renovated suite!

My practice will be closed from 03/30 to 03/31 for the actual move.

The Negative Effects of Ma*****na on Adolescent Brain Development - This is a new study that shows that ma*****na causes decreases in functional connectivity in the brain and that high amounts of ma*****na use predicted lower intelligence quotient (low "IQ") and slower cognitive function. I know this is contrary to the news media and various political organizations that now try to convince the American public that ma*****na is a "safe" product because it is, "all natural." Nothing can be further from the truth!! I talk to my patients about this all the time. Moreover, there is a significant increase in the onset of mental disorders (i.e., depression, anxiety, etc.) for long-term ma*****na users; this is called "comorbidity" in the mental health field.

I've sat in a day-long continuing education training that covered all the negative effects of ma*****na; this was really eye-opening for me to say the least. Yes, there are some therapeutic uses for ma*****na, but most users do not use ma*****na for this purpose.
