Today, as we gather for Thanksgiving lunch, we’re reminded that gratitude isn’t just found in grand celebrations—it’s found in simple moments of togetherness. Here at Villa Northwest assisted living community, families and residents share more than a meal. We share memories, stories, laughter, and love that spans generations.

Some families travel from near and far; others show their love through a warm smile, a helping hand, or a quiet conversation at the table. And for those whose loved ones are no longer with us, we honor their place in our hearts—they are part of what makes our community feel like family.

This Thanksgiving, we give thanks for the caregivers who serve with compassion, for the staff who go the extra mile to make today special, and for every resident who brings wisdom, warmth, and life to this home. We are grateful for the families who trust us, support us, and celebrate with us.

May this meal be filled with comfort, may these rooms be filled with joy, and may each person here feel valued, remembered, and deeply appreciated. Special thanks to our wonderful cooks for such a tasty feast !

Villa Northwest is a warm and comforting assisted living community that has a long-standing reputation for excellence in the Corpus Christi community. We are committed to treating residents like family. Tonda Johnson has served as Executive Director since 2015. Starting as a nurse at our sister Villa South in the memory care assisted living wing in 2000, Tonda transferred to Northwest in 2001 as the Director of Wellness. In 2016, Tonda earned the company’s Stewardship Award for her leadership at Villa Northwest in ensuring that residents are given “warmth and comfort,” safety and good value and that staff members are appreciated, given a good w ork environment and compensated fairly. As a nurse/administrator, Tonda continues to improve the quality of life for the Residents of Villa Northwest.
