What inspires someone to pursue athletic training? For Makayla, it started at home.

After seeing her dad go through physical therapy, she developed a passion for helping others recover, grow, and get back to doing what they love. Now, as a master’s student at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi, she’s turning that passion into purpose.
