We’re proud to spotlight Callie Gear, a dedicated Registered Dietitian whose passion and expertise help keep our elders healthy, nourished, and thriving. From monitoring nutrition status to supporting the safety and sanitation of our culinary team, Callie’s dedication shines through in everything she does.
Callie earned her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics in 2011 and her Master of Science in Food and Nutrition in 2014, both from Bowling Green State University in Northwest Ohio.
To explore her passion for older adult nutrition, Callie gained hands‑on experience with The Area Office on Aging, Meals On Wheels, The Alzheimer’s Association, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, and multiple long‑term care facilities. Each experience helped shape the compassionate, knowledgeable dietitian she is today.
We’re so grateful to have Callie’s expertise and warmth in our community. Drop her a “thank you” in the comments for all she does!

Yesterday we had the pleasure of hosting Brad Breeding, author of A Practical Guide to Navigating Senior Living Options and Planning, for the second time here at Mirador Retirement Community.

Guests enjoyed a delicious brunch while learning more about the Entrance Fee at Mirador and what truly sets our community apart. Brad shared valuable insights to help families better understand senior living options and plan confidently for the future.

We wrapped up the morning with an engaging Q&A session led by our Executive Director Chuck Childress, Plant Operations Director Robert Adcock, and Sales & Marketing Director Vanessa Hancock.
