In other words the estrogen patch is a FANTASTIC option or women who have been told they can't take estrogen in the past.

“The results support the growing conventional wisdom that transdermal therapy at standard doses is free of the cardiovascular risks associated with oral therapy.”

This is all old news folks. Stop telling women they can’t be on transdermal estradiol because of clot and stroke risk.

Yesterday one of my girlfriends contacted me saying she had a sore throat, congestion and drainage. She also had a “pus pocket” in her throat. She wanted to know if she needed an antibiotic

Here is my answer 99% of the time ———-> get a strep test!!!!!!!

The isolated “pus pocket” almost always turns out to be phlegm or a tonsil stone. Its not common to see congestion and drainage with strep throat.

Most sore throats are NOT caused by strep throat! Even “the worst sore throat Ive ever had” sore throats

Antibiotics kill the bad bacteria (strep) AND the good bacteria. If you realized how much connection there is between good long term health and gut bacteria, you would STOP taking antibiotics every time you sneeze

There are studies that show it takes up to a year for the gut to recover from ONE antibiotic

Side note: strep tests are not 100% accurate so many times we send a throat culture to the lab for confirmation. It takes a few days to get results but this can be another test that adds great value to your treatment plan!!
