It takes a very special person to choose to celebrate others on their birthday. I mean, birthdays are usually meant to celebrate yourself, right?
This year, a very dear friend and supporter of The Howe Project chose to hold a birthday fundraiser on our behalf, and we couldn’t be more grateful for her support. She not only raised funds but also brought awareness to the need to support others on their recovery journeys.
Over 95% of individuals who are incarcerated will be released, and of those, 68% will reoffend. This leads to costly effects on our state infrastructures, unsafe communities, and broken families. Supporting individuals on their reentry journeys isn't just a job for some; it's a responsibility for us all.
With that, we’d like to thank Diana Charbonneau for recognizing how impactful community support can be for justice-involved individuals. Your support means so much to us and our clients and has a deeply profound impact on the community we all live in.
Additionally, we'd like to thank everyone who rallied behind Diana to donate either monetarily or by providing a dresser for a resident in one of our homes. Your contributions make a significant impact on the lives of men and women who are working hard to rebuild their lives and take advantage of the second chances they deserve.
Amber Moore Smith, McKensie Garza, Dominic Ortega, Julie Emms, Kimberly Witort, Robert Richey, Kathy Walter Charbonneau, Donna Lannon, Linda Stratton, Joshua Pierre Charbonneau and Irene Coppola. Thank you!
