It's time to celebrate National OT Month! Johnson PT & Rehab is pleased to have three experienced Occupational Therapists on staff. Occupational Therapists are an important part of any rehabilitation journey. Whether it is overcoming an injury, managing chronic disease or recovering from surgery- Occupational Therapists help each person live life to the fullest to improve independence and quality of life.
We have 3 fabulous OTs on staff at Johnson PT & Rehab with loads of experience with specialties including hand therapy, upper extremity injuries, lymphedema therapy and management, neurological conditions, geriatric conditions including weakness and cognitive decline, and ergonomics- just to name a few.

We are the 2019 Best of Cortez 1st place winner for Physical Therapy! Thank you to all of our loyal customers for all of your support over the years!

Johnson Physical Therapy has been serving Southwest Colorado and surrounding areas since 2002. Owners Najib Johnson PT MTC and Julie Carpenter OTR both have over 25 years of experience. They pride themselves in providing direct one on one care, each treatment customized for individualized care. We have over 4,000 square feet of treatment area, with state of the art equipment to accommodate the needs of every patient. Along with Najib and Julie, our staff includes these amazing therapists: Serae Mele, DPT, Landon Lavene, DPT, Thomas Ramage, DPT, Dee Prock, MS PT, and Kari Cockrill, OTR, CHT- Kari is the only Certified Hand Therapist in Cortez. We also have an amazing front office staff readily available to our customers to assist in scheduling your appointment, checking your insurance benefits and answering any billing questions you may have.

We specialize in orthopedic conditions, both surgical and non surgical, rehab for the athlete, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, geriatric rehabilitation, women’s health and pelvic floor disorders, hand therapy, splinting, functional dry needling with 3 therapists certified level 2 in dry needling, workers compensation, ergonomic evaluations, lymphedema management, pre and post employment testing, just to name a few.
