Hi,

My daughter is on vacation with her kids.
She sent me pictures of your Naloxone Box on a street corner there.

She works towards harm mitigation as part of her job.

We all watched her younger sister go through several terrible years of addiction which we did not believe she would survive.

Thankfully, she is now a mother of two and has been clean and sober for over 10 years.

As a mom and a former paramedic, I am incredibly grateful to see this on the street and clearly marked, with instructions, in clear view from every direction.

These should be EVERYWHERE!!!

Today we received our Recertification to continue all the great work that all the Volunteers have been doing.. It got us thinking it was time to look into just what has been done since Kevin Donovan started HHC in June of 2019.

The Volunteers have been able to train 8354 people and give them a kit. We received 454 Reported Reversals, which equals Lives Saved. Mind you, that is what has been reported.

It is time to check your kit and see if it needs replacement!
Keep in mind that if it expires in 2025, You Will Need to add a Year to that, as they extended the expiration by a year.
Also, if it is all you have to give, it will still work, but it might not be as strong. Still, it is better than not giving it.

Have you lost a love one from an overdose?

There is a tree at the Wishing Wellness in Cortland nextdoor to the library. If you go in there and ask for an ornament, (Dark Purple Cross) you can hang it on the 2024 Rememberance Tree.
Hang your ornament say their name.,
Stop back Dec 23rd to pickup the ornament to take home for your tree on Christmas.

Healing Hearts Collaborative OOPP has a Memorial Tree, at Wishing Wellness until December 23rd to honor loved ones lost to an overdose. You can ask their staff for an Cross to hang on the tree. Then Come back on Dec. 23rd to take your loved ones cross home.
